Non scholæ sed vitæ discimus.
Hello. I am Fabian, a Year 2 student from Diploma in Infocomm Security Management currently studying in Singapore Polytechnic. I am interested in various fields relating to the Arts, such as Visual Web Designing, Video Editing and Photoshop, and Music Theory. I also adore travelling, programming and playing video games. Being involved in many community services activities and leadership camps, I have potential to stand up and step out of my comfort zone to present myself, as well as being a supportive person to my fellow peers.

Sign Language Committee Member
What I did:For the past year and a half, I was active in my Co-Curricular Activity, Sign Language Club. In this CCA, it had taught me a plethora of skills, from hard skills such as interpreting and song signing to soft skills ranging from communication to leadership. Being a committee was an eye opener for me, a huge step that I took out of my comfort zone. From this journey, I learnt how to actively step up as a quality leader, one that should not order but set an example to their peers. Furthermore, many administrative knowledge was gained and deep friendships were forged too.
LEAP Camp
Reflection:During my September Holidays, I had the previlge to travel to Kota Tinggi, Malaysia, for a 3 day 2 night camp trip with the school. The purpose of this camp is to train potential students and shape them to become future leaders. From this leadership camp, I managed to learn many things, including how to be a teamplayer and work well with the team, how to communicate and understand one another, how to be empathetic and compassionate to others, how to step out of my comfort zone and speak up, as well as how to set an example to others and become a great leader. Throughout this trip, I was blessed with many eager and inclusive teammates, which allowed us to bond deeply with each other. We braved through many obstacles and challenges, from mountain trekking to kayaking. Although this camp was a tiring and was treacherous, I managed to pull through with the help of my supportive teammates. The most important skill I brought back was Empathy. It allows me to fully understand how someone is feeling and what they are going through, which in turn allows me to better access and help them. It's always a pleasure to help others and seeing them feel satisfied and happy. After all, part of being happy is making others.
